Theatre review: Very Still and Hard to See
Edinburgh Fringe Scotsman review: Very Still and Hard to See, at Greenside (Venue 231), review by David Pollock
Welcome to the hotel that Buck Mason built, the builder having made a deal with a particularly vixen-like devil upon falling down a pit during its construction, which laid a curse upon the building for its future guests to suffer.
This episodic horror anthology from the pen of writer Steve Yockey contains a few freakishly sinister moments, including the dominatrix leading a bloody man dressed as a canary about on a lead and the ultimate fate of the architect’s granddaughter, while the hooded ensemble milling in the background add a sense of physical foreboding.
However, the quality of the stories and their potency varies greatly.
