Theatre review: Whispering in the Dark
Edinburgh Festival Fringe Scotsman review: Whispering in the Dark at Venue 13 (Venue 13), reviewed by Kelly Apter
Pauline Parker and Juliet Hulme rocked New Zealand in 1954, when they killed Parker’s mother. The inspiration for Kate Winslet’s first film, Heavenly Creatures, the murder remains ripe for exploration. But the clarity police would be all over this production, in which Parker and Hulme (in real life still alive) meet in a hellish afterlife and explore their shared past.
Until 24 August. Today 5:30pm
More info: Whispering in the Dark is at Venue 13
