Theatre review: Concrete Duvet
Edinburgh Festival Fringe Scotsman review: Concrete Duvet at theSpace @ Surgeons Hall (Venue 53), reviewed by David Pollock
A man walks into a room, picks up a porn mag and pulls his trousers down, ready for action. Then he bursts out crying.
His girlfriend left him after an argument over 12 quid, “the price of a Megabus to Manchester”, but he wonders if he can win her back if he offers to pay her back double. That is until his conscience steps into the room and offers him the chance to go back and revisit four of his past girlfriends.
A history of failed relationships , bondage and – we shudder to think – bottom-licking ensues, and despite decent performances and a few laughs we’re left with the impression guys can get away without learning much at all.
Until 24 August. Today 4:05pm
