Dance review: Turbulence
Edinburgh Festival Fringe Scotsman review: Turbulence at Greenside (Venue 231), reviewed by Kelly Apter
Designed as a prequel to Shakespeare’s The Tempest, this new work by Entita Theatre has moments of strong physicality that show just what this company is capable of.
Set on an aeroplane, Turbulence alludes to what is to come, and updates it (Sycorax the sorceress, for instance, becomes the name of a risky environmental project).
There’s a real sense of energy, yet in a bid for referential cleverness Entita forgot to make this story interesting enough in its own right.
Until 24 August. Today 6:40pm
