Children’s show review: Hush
Edinburgh Festival Fringe Scotsman review: Hush at Gilded Balloon Teviot (Venue 14), reviewed by Kelly Apter
There are lots of good ingredients in this well-meaning children’s show from Moon Mission Theatre, but the script isn’t one of them.
Three lively performers – a princess, a chatterbox and a nosey boy – inhabit a lovely set, engage warmly with the audience and learn the benefits of friendship and keeping a secret. But their dialogue needs serious tightening, and the underwater quest is badly in need of clarity. It’s a show with much potential, with its heart in the right place, but more attention needed to be paid to audience understanding.
Until 26 August. Today noon
