Theatre review: Birthday Girls: 2053
Edinburgh Fringe Scotsman review: Birthday Girls: 2053 at Pleasance Courtyard (Venue 33), reviewed by Martin Gray
It’s 2053 and sketch comedy has been outlawed. If all sketch comedy was like this, a government ban couldn’t come soon enough. Bless them for trying to find a structure on which to hang gags, but they’d be better off simply finding stronger material. This excruciating hour includes shit accidents, threats of dog sex and an offensive spoof Scots soap.
MORE INFO: Birthday Girls: 2053 is at Pleasance Courtyard
