Theatre review: Bedtime Solos
Edinburgh Festival Fringe Scotsman review: Bedtime Solos at Assembly Roxy (Venue 139), reviewed by Matt Trueman
The universe in a flash. Static electricity in an empty room. These are just two of the ways that Jakob Holder describes the moment of orgasm in this over-stewed indulgence about – um – premature ejaculation.
Being generous, you’d say it concerns the gulf between sex for men and for women and one couple’s quest to come together. Yet Bob Paisley’s production strains for sexiness and, while Holder is writing himself off, he romanticises sex out of all recognition.
Until 26 August. Today 11:20am
