Theatre review: Finding Libby
Edinburgh Fringe Scotsman review: Finding Libby at Assembly Hall (Venue 35), reviewed by Matt Trueman
Pauline is on a canal boat trip – her first break in years – and the waterway is weaving its way towards Banbury, her old home town. She left a long time ago, after a bit of argy-bargy with the local lock-keeper and a huge chunk of her remained there with the daughter that died soon after birth. Finding Libby is rather like a canal boat holiday itself. It’s very slow, rather narrow and probably favoured by those of a certain age. Still, some people love a canal boat holiday.
